Electrical Design

At the core of every great Manufacturing Automation project is a solid design. The days of pushbuttons and 7-segment LCD displays may be over, but the need for high-quality design and documentation is still very much alive. As the world of automation becomes increasingly more software dependent, the space between engineering and IT shrinks; you'll find that we occupy that space nicely. Our design staff includes both PEs and CCNAs. If electrons flow through it, we will design it.

PLC/HMI

Two things set the great Systems Integrators apart from the others; the willingness of management to let their engineers push the boundaries of automation and engineers that are smart enough to know when and where to push boundaries. IAE has both. Sometimes simple is all that is required but, sometimes the newest paradigms yield the largest return on investment. Regardless of the hardware platform that you choose, we will help you understand what its capabilities are and whether or not its worth the engineering investment to maximize that potential.

Business Intelligence

OEE, CEM, PEM, ERP, etc. It doesn't take long to get confused in the jungle of manufacturing buzz words and acronyms. However, making sense of the connection between your plant floor and your back office may be the most important investment your company ever makes. An industrial historian is a great start, but too often becomes the end point of manufacturing business intelligence and renders an organization "Data-Rich and Information-Poor". Data aggregation, business analysis and proper leveraging of client-side reporting tools will produce a better bottom-line. Let us help you get there.

Panel Fabrication

The "Command Post" may appear to be the Control Room, but it's really the Control Panel. Without a properly designed and built control panel running the system, the greatest, most elegant, PLC and HMI system will fall flat. The details matter to us; wire label positioning, accurate external stickers for NFPA 70e, proper cable routing, each detail is as important as the next. It all starts, and ends, with Panel Fabrication.
